FAQs
Q: How do I prevent breakage on my hair? My hair is relaxed and I flat-iron and blow dry, and nothing seems to help!
A: The use of a chemical treatment and too much heat can really compromise the strength of your hair.  To reduce breakage, try roller sets.  Also, when styling with heating tools, use a thermal spray and/or moisturizer-that way you aren't burning your hair while styling.

Q: My Natural hair is very brittle and sheds every time I comb it.  What products or techniques can I use to stop the shedding?
A: It sounds as though your hair needs some intensive healing, so try a deep penetrating reconstructor that conquers both brittleness ane dryness-which means has shea butter or natural oils for strength and also vitamim E for better elasticity.  Also, try using a smoothing balm or moisturizing serum before detangling. And when detangling, start combing at the ends and work your way to the scalp.

Q: How do I prevent dandruff and dry scalp?
A: Be sure to strive get in your eight glasses of water each day.  This helps to eliminate dry skin and hair and adds moisture to the entire body.  Secondly, you want to shampoo regularly (weekly) with a chelating shampoo followed with a good moisture conditioner.  Also, try a dandruff shampoo that aid in the destruction and prevention of scalp conditions like overly oily hair (Seborrhea), dry and itchy scalp, Psoriasis, etc.  Note: when shampooing, use luke warm to cool water because warm water not only dries the skin, but also the scalp.

Q: How do you get a good shine in your hair without using a lot of oil?
A: A lot of times you can use a moisturizing serum or moisturizer of some sort prior to styling.  If applied while wet, it will absorb into the hair leaving a shine without the buildup residue of oils.  Also, there are professional products used on dry hair that are oil free and light enough to use daily.  I would consult your nearest stylist on how to obtain these products.

Q: How do I maintain my long extension and weaves to keep them looking nice for a longer period of time?
A: To maintain long extensions and weaves for a longer period of time, shampoo regularly.  Use a good moisturizing shampoo, followed by a leave in conditioner for a healthier scalp.  Be sure to dry hair near the scalp to keep you natural hair healthy, and without smell.  When removing bonded extensions, be careful separating hair from bonding product.  Bonding Glue Removers work!!!

Q:  How often should short hair be done at the salon, and what kinds of treatments should I be having done?
A: Visiting your professional hair stylist every six to eight weeks for a relaxer and trim is a must.  Also, shampooing once a week with a deep conditioner every two weeks will make a drastic difference in your hair's texture.  Also, try purchasing the hair care products from your stylist, that way your hair is being treating professionally, though being done at home.
